A light drizzle had set in as darkness fell, making really bright lights less effective.<\/p>\n<p>I got a good start, with few problems on the way to number 1, but totally blew number 2, losing 4 minutes on the parallel residential forested streets. I eventually sorted myself out as the rain intensified and started to get into the flow of the night sprint until I got confused by some unmarked forest extraction tracks on the way to number 5 and lost more time. I then rode cleanly, even nailing the controls near the railwayline which caught many out, until I again came to the area of the unmarked tracks and again made a mistake costing a couple of minutes.
